Overview

Bolt Dodger is a pure bullet-hell survival game you can play free in your browser with no download. You are a tiny lightmoth caught in a neon storm, and you have no weapon at all, your only verb is to move. Weave through escalating patterns of glowing orbs, rings that radiate with a single rotating safe gap, rotating spirals, crossing walls with a navigable opening, and aimed fans that track your position. Your gameplay hitbox is small and forgiving, so slipping through tight gaps is always possible. Skim bullets without being hit to graze, building a multiplier that rewards nerve with bonus score and Mote dust. Two tools help you survive: hold Focus to slow the whole storm to a crawl and shrink your hitbox for precision threading, and trigger a banked Pulse to clear every bullet on screen at once. The storm is endless by design and rises through new tiers roughly every eighteen seconds, growing faster and denser forever, there is no winning, only surviving longer. Every pattern is built to always leave a reachable safe path, so death is never unfair. Mote dust banks into the persistent Mothlight Atelier, where six permanent upgrades like an extra life, a start shield, a slimmer hitbox and stronger Focus make each run start stronger. English and Chinese are both built in.
